AFM SafeCoat, Naturals Oil Wax Finish Q&A
Activity timeframe
I have old engineered 3 ply tongue and groove floor tiles from the 1960's and recently had bug bombs set off in the house which of course left the residue on the floor soo I had it cleaned with Castile soap and water but the guys doing the cleaning in the living room used a little too much soap and water in the living room so not much finish left there. I will be moving into the house in a couple of weeks or less . Of main concern to me is that I have 3 cats and I want a hard wax oil that is not toxic at all for my cats as I am 65 years old and they are all I have left that I love. What do you recommend with all things considered to seal about 450 square ft ?Thank you View answer

I used this on a dining room table and love the look, but it's extremely susceptible to grease or fats (butter, salad dressing, etc). They leave a smear even after wiping it up. Any suggestions on what to do? I'm thinking of sanding and resealing with something else. View answer

Im considering applying this to 2x6 pine t&g flooring. It's for a new build. I'm hoping to coat all sides with 1 coat, install, and then protect with floor protection (cardboard builders board) to help mitigate any potential damage during the rest of the construction. After all construction is finished I would sand the floor and reapply oil/wax. Does this seem like an appropriate approach? If so, how long would you say I need to wait between applying the first coat prior to install and covering with builder board (to avoid any issues with curing under builder board). Thanks for your help! View answer
