I need to seal some pine Adirondack chairs I made but more specifically I am concerned about the end grain on the legs of the chair where they will contact the ground. I do not leave the chairs in grass or dirt. They are used on a concrete patio and a wood deck. What is the best product to use in this situation? View answer

Is there a reason not to use the regular sheet marmoleum instead of the furniture marmoleum as a kitchen countertop? It seems like the top sealer would make it more durable and stain-resistant. Is it not a food-safe surface with the sealer? View answer

I've read everything and still don't understand. Do I need to purchase other products to use this kit? I know I need a gallon of gloss paint, but I'm seeing links to other products as well. This is already very expensive for very small coverage. The kit doesn't come with everything I'll need, aside from the paint? One ingredient isn't available anymore and Quickrete is the required replacement. Is this non-toxic? Thank you. View answer

I am looking to put down cork in my attic space that will serve as my yoga/meditation space and have a few questions:1) Is underlayment recommended if cork is going over plywood?2) Do you currently have the Wicanders Whim Go Cork in stock? I'd need about 500sf.3) I'm also looking at icork's 12mm natural cork floor (3mm top cork layer over 6mm hdf over 3mm cork underlayment). I like the Wicanders name but like the thicker product. Any comments on this? View answer

Hello I have metal plant stands and I was wondering if I paint them with this product (after sanding and priming) if this paint can be absorbed by the terra-cotta pots I place on top and then have potential to leach into my soil? Perhaps I'm being too cautious, but I'm trying to ensure that my balcony garden veggies are as safe as possible. Thank you! View answer

If I've been using mineral oil on my butcher block, would I need to deeply sand it for this to adhere? Or a light sanding? Would I need to use anything to dissolve the mineral oil? Would you recommend this or Bioshield Wood Counter finish in terms of longevity and having the oiliness not transfer to everything set on the counter (which is my problem now. Thanks! View answer
