I am looking to put down cork in my attic space that will serve as my yoga/meditation space and have a few questions:1) Is underlayment recommended if cork is going over plywood?2) Do you currently have the Wicanders Whim Go Cork in stock? I'd need about 500sf.3) I'm also looking at icork's 12mm natural cork floor (3mm top cork layer over 6mm hdf over 3mm cork underlayment). I like the Wicanders name but like the thicker product. Any comments on this? View answer

(Not really a question?) Sample boxes vs colors seen on computer: I have heard on this site and many others that the colors do not match the Website. This is usually used as a criticism. The color discrepancy comes from the settings on your computer and the Website. Those two will never match. Every computer is different when it comes to color. Also, you are dealing with light on your computer. It will always make colors and other items look different than in real life. THIS is why it is SO important to get the the boxes of samples; so you can see what the product REALLY looks like. Three cheers for GBS for providing the SAMPLES in a box. View answer

Can this be used as a shower/bathtub surround similar to Dumawall products? I'm looking for a more natural and lasting product with the same ease of installation. If I glue these planks to either backer board or plywood panels screwed onto stud walls and additionally seal the seams/corners with silicone, would this be able to function as a waterproof surround? Thank you very much! View answer

I am going to put this in a very dry basement in the gym area over concrete (new construction). A treadmill will be on it. I prefer to do a floating installation for ease of removal. However, will the treadmill cause a problem with that type of installation? What underlayment would be best for me to use? I am planning on a vapor barrier at least. View answer

I had the Wicker floor installed about 6 years ago and absolutely love it. I unfortunately placed some plants directly n it and there is warping in abut there boards; I have one replacement but have decide to use the same pattern in our bedroom for a fresh modern look. Can the warped boards be replaced by the new ones or do I just need to live with the situation? View answer

How is the waterproof cork flooring different than the traditional cork flooring feel-wise? We love the feel of cork and the idea of it being waterproof is appealing but does it take away from the natural feel? How thick is the waterproof coating or is it kind of soaked into the cork? I see that the traditional also has an acrylic layer on top. How is it different? View answer

If the cork flooring is truly waterproof why do you need a moisture barrier to install over a concrete basement floor? I would be concerned that I would be trapping moisture underneath the floor rather than letting it escape. This escaped moisture would then be sent out using a dehumidifier. I just want to make sure I'm not creating another health risk my trapping the moisture. View answer
