I carve signs out of pine. I spray paint the carved text and graphics, and when the paint is dry I plane the wood to remove the paint from the top surface. I have a problem with the paint bleeding into the grain of the wood at the edge of the letters and graphic. I need to seal a bare carved wood before spray painting to prevent the paint from bleeding. Will this product work for that purpose? View answer

I have brand new oak butcher block style countertops from IKEA. We wanted to keep them as natural as possible and so we put 3 layers of mineral oil, and a 2 layers of a mineral oil/beeswax finish. As soon as a moist dishtowel rested on the countertop, the grain swelled up and was rough. We need to put something else on that's more durable after all. Will this Naturals Oil Wax Finish be ok to apply on top of these other natural oils/wax? Sure seems like there's plenty more penetration capacity based on how NON-water resistant the counters seem to be still. Oh and our sink is set into the countertop (lots of potential water exposure) and cooking will take place on them, but no chopping directly on them. View answer

Hi There! I'm looking for a no/low VOC (preferably) water based product that has UV protection for wood that I color with aniline dye. I'm not sure if this product has UV resistant components in it's formula. If not, can you recommend a product that dries clear or transparent to let the color pop through? Thank you! View answer

I have willow sculptures (wooden branches) which are used as space separator. And I have to work next to them all day. By the end of the day I feel like I was eating them ) So would this finish help to seal everything (smell) coming from the branches? I do not want any smell from the seal itself , It should be really eco and safe. So do you think this polish would work for me? View answer

I understand that orders over 185 sq feet ship free but I was considering doing one room (160 sq feet) in one color and a small room (50 square feet) in a different color. It would total over 200 sq ft, but I noticed the shipping was not free. Does it have to be all the same tile that equals 185 sq ft to be free shipping? View answer

I was hoping to use this on patio furniture, but I see that it is interior only. The furniture is under a deck and will not be directly rained on, but will be exposed to extreme humidity (I live in Mississippi) and the occasional rain blowing in. Will this product work or is there another that is recommended? View answer

I'm looking for a flooring for my basement. I have had dehumidifier leaks and a hot water heater massive leak across three rooms. I was ready to purchase Lakeshore XPC Luxury Vinyl Plano flooring by Viking Flooring in Northport color/style. It's 7" x 48" plank until I read more about pvc flooring. This does have an aluminum oxide wear layer on top. I always try to buy green products for our health, our inside air quality and the health of the planet, but with all my water issues in the basement, I have almost given up. What would happen to a wood floor if I had another standing water issue or just the humidity in a basement? And, I'm also looking to mimic this color/ look of the Northport.... Can you assist? Thank you! View answer
