I'm interested in this product but curious if you can install over existing sheet vinyl. We have original sheet vinyl over 3/4 inch plywood subfloor which has some deflection. Is it advisable to put down a thicker underlayment on top first? We actually had LVT installed over the sheet vinyl with grout but the grout started to crumble immediately. So we have to start over. I have an interior cement basement wall in a rec room that is starting to crumble in places because moisture is coming through. I used drylock 15 years ago and it worked great for years, but boy did it stink! It looks like I need to repeat the process now on a small area of the wall. What less awful product can I use to seal it this time? (It was painted over with Ben Moore latex paint so it does have paint on it) Or could I use drylock and then seal that in, but with what?
