I have noticed that the wood look uses rPET or recycled polyethylene terephthalate from water bottles as the top coat. Does the rPET leach out and/or outgas the heavy mental antimony that is used in the manufacturing of PET. Antimony is a heavy metal that is a suspected carcinogen. Since PET in general is considered a one time use plastic that when heated or scratched can possibility release this heavy metal. Since this is a top coat in the cork wood grain product, which has high scratch resistance and I assume no issues with heat, is there any possibility of Antimony being released into the air and/or leaching? Thanks!

No, according to the head tech guy at Amorim, it does not leach out or off-gas any heavy metals.
