I would like to use this to paint my old wooden bedroom furniture that has a finish on it. it's important that there are no paint smells coming off of it, as the headboard and night table are close to my head when sleeping. I don't want to sand it down. Can I just use the regular safecoat paint without sanding and using the primer? Does the primer have more of a smell than the regular paint? Hi there, I'm doing a cedar T&G cabin restoration and I'm looking for a clear coat that will not change the natural look whatsoever. My client had a mold problem due to no ventilation, humid climate & no circulation. I sanded and prepared all the cedar for paint. My clients love the look of the natural cedar, they want to keep this look but every transparent product I've tested so far darkens it. She also wants a gloss on the ceilings and flat on the walls which is basically asking for the impossible to have a variation in the colors but keep the natural Cedar color. Is there a clear or water based transparent product that has had success with this? Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated! View answer

For installation in a bathroom and in order to make in waterproof, the instructions state to apply a polyurethane sealant on expansion joints. Are the expansion joints considers the outside border of the floor (against walls) or is this everywhere the planks meet?
