I was wondering if you could ask AFM about whether Safeseal on plywood sheathing would stop water vapor from being able to pass from the inside of the house to the outside. I'm wondering if I am going to cause walls not to be able to dry to the outside because of this product. In a nutshell, does Safeseal affect the permeability of the plywood to allow water vapor to pass through? <BR>I'm reasoning if it stops off gassing of formaldehyde (gas) that it will also stop water vapor (gas) also. Is my reasoning faulty? View answer

I have gutted an area of my house (kitchen and one bedroom) that has some chemical off gassing and possible moisture issues. At this point, it is down to studs and a concrete slab floor. Some of the wooden framework is made with pressure-treated wood. My plan is to coat all of the studs with SafeSeal Hardcoat. But before I do, I was wondering if you have another recommendation.
