I am looking to seal an area around a HVAC vent where asbestos (possibly) tiles have cracked. The tiles have been covered with plywood and laminate flooring, but since the cracked tiles are around the floor vent opening, I want to seal the edges. Will this product work for that? View answer

I just remodel my master bathroom. I also painted (Behr Marquee paint) and added new Pergo engineered hardwood floors. Unfortunately I haven't been able to sleep in my bedroom. As soon as I enter the room my nose, eyes and throat feel irritated. I have been having more frequent asthma attacks. I can feel that something is wrong in my bedroom and or bathroom. Which sealer should I use on my floor and which should I use on my walls. What do you recommend? View answer

I have gutted an area of my house (kitchen and one bedroom) that has some chemical off gassing and possible moisture issues. At this point, it is down to studs and a concrete slab floor. Some of the wooden framework is made with pressure-treated wood. My plan is to coat all of the studs with SafeSeal Hardcoat. But before I do, I was wondering if you have another recommendation. I purchased three 4 slot mail/paper organizers from Amazon. The seller says they are made of: "100% Natural Bamboo, Made of superior phyllostachys heterocycla (a kind of bamboo), real material, Not synthetic wood ;renewable and eco-conscious resources." They have an unpleasant smell. I can't tell if they shipped with a stain or sealer (natural looking) so don't know if the smell is from a coating or the material itself. I want to seal it to eliminate the off-gassing. Which Safecoat product do you recommend? View answer

Wondering if this or the hard seal is better for wall panels that are finished (white glossy side using as dry erase board) on one side then just the raw pressboard type material on the back. I just want to be able to seal the backside that is putting off the odors. Which would be best? View answer

We have a garage that we've converted to a cabin for my father. We put up chipboard walls and ceiling. He is chemical sensitive to the off-gassing. Would applying AFM Safe Seal to the already-installed boards solve the problem? We would only be treating one side of the boards. View answer

I will soon be building a small barn that will house 8 chickens and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. We will put in a plywood floor (with some insulation beneath). On top of the plywood, I'll lay down horse mats and then the hay. My contractor has asked me to find a product to safely (for the animals) seal the plywood. Would one or your products work? We might also paint the plywood, although since it will be covered up, that doesn't make sense. View answer

I have some new Sauder furniture that has raw particle board on the edges. Even the wood parts that have been finished have the odor. Should I use the safe seal on the raw edges and the hard seal on the finished parts, or can I use the hard seal on the raw edges and the finished parts? I just need to seal in so no off gassing. Thank you. View answer

Can I use any of the Safe Seal products to coat the inside of an RV before refinishing it? We would want to coat almost everything--floor, walls, and cupboards. Will it adhere to the finish on cupboards, and is it then paintable? Which product should we use? I think we would want it to be matte. Thanks! View answer
