My husband did not want to buy an extra long baby gate, so he made one. The problem is, it won't be helpful because it's got splintering areas and I will just be constantly keeping the baby away from the gate. Is there any non toxic finish I can apply to it in order to prevent the splintering? View answer

Hi I found an empty birds nest (slightly broken with broken piece within range) outside this fall on the sidewalk.. I determined that this nest is abandoned and not reusable to any birds. I'd like to preserve this nest somehow will this material be useful in that process ? The nest is made of tree branches and mud. I have put it in a plastic bag for some time then I will take it out and attempt to cure/dry it. Once I am done it will remain indoors Thanks View answer

Hi! I'm working on a large art project utilizing around 300 dried roses. I would like to find a product that is able to seal and provide a little extra strength to the flowers. I have experimented with a few materials so far and liked to results that came from using a polymer resin but I did not like the glossy finish. Looking online, it is difficult to find any resins that will provide the same strength without high gloss (I am looking for a no-gloss, clear finish). Do you have any products available that you would suggest? I appreciate any input! Thank you! View answer

Hello, we are making a bed for my toddler and I stained the wood with an oil-based stain. I am not worried about chemicals, etc. I plan to let the wood cure/dry and off gas in the garage and outside for 48-72 hours before putting a finish or seal on it. I have been looking for the safest seal to put on this so that I feel comfortable having this wood as my toddlers bed. Would this seal work over oil-based stain that has been well cured? Would it completely seal/protect the wood/stain? Thanks! View answer

I am making drink coasters out of the center labels of vinyl records. I'm looking for an eco-friendly alternative to acrylic sealer sprays like from Mod Podge and Krylon (pretty nasty stuff). Will this work on paper and withstand hot, wet mugs and cold damp pint glasses? Thank you! View answer

I'm looking for a durable sealer for the painted and vinyl applied wording on the wood signs that I make. Sometimes these are welcome signs that are displayed outside under a porch roof but still might occasionally get damp or lightly rained on along with being in the sun,is safe coat the product I am looking for for this application?
