Looking for the best wood sealant for some wooden baby toys we have made for our children. we used raw unfinished wood and then painted them with the liquid watercolor. My toddler will play with them now just fine that they are all dried out but my issues comes from my 8 month old who desperately wants to put everything in her mouth. Even though they are dry if they get wet some of the colour leaches off. Hello, we are making a bed for my toddler and I stained the wood with an oil-based stain. I am not worried about chemicals, etc. I plan to let the wood cure/dry and off gas in the garage and outside for 48-72 hours before putting a finish or seal on it.
