Hello, I am installing a click-lock engineered hardwood flooring on top of an existing wood floor. The manufacturer recommended underlayment is a 2-in-1 foam underlayment, max 1/8" thick. A vapor barrier is important here as the level directly below is the cellar (not heated) and there is no subfloor below the existing floor. For an RV/Fifth Wheel would it not be sufficient to keep the interior AC running continuously to provide that temperature, or does the external side (bottom) of the vehicle floor also need to be at that temperature?
