I'd like to use this product for my new baseboards around the house, but I am nervous about needing to use rubbing alcohol to cure it. We just repainted the house with ECOS paint. I called ECOS and they said rubbing alcohol would definitely take off the paint. Am I confused about needing to use rubbing alcohol all along it? Any other suggestions for caulks that don't need to use rubbing alcohol? View answer

I believe This AFM caulk was in freezing temperature during shipping because it’s really hard to push out of the tube and it’s still tacky after days. Not a huge deal because it’s under floors, but will it still do the trick to stay in place? I'll go ahead and use the rest of them since I don't have the time to order from you this time and get quality products and quality service. I will next time! View answer

We had some work done for which molding around the floors and doors was removed (and which we don't intend to replace). The contractors suggested using hot mud on the exposed areas before priming and painting (actually plastering in our case). Is ECOS Drywall Spackle an appropriate replacement for hot mud in this situation ? View answer

Hello there. I have an extreme allergy to the isothiazolinone family of preservatives, including methylisothiazolinone (MI), methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI), benzisothiazolinone (BIT), and octylisothiazolinone (OIT). Can this or any other of your products be used to apply vinyl plank floor to a non porous concrete slab in a bathroom? If not, are you aware of any adhesives for vinyl flooring that are free of isothiazolinones? View answer

I have dry eyes and one of the methods that seems to help is wearing a silicone sleep mask. The ones made purely out of silicone wear out quickly and are expensive, so I thought I would take a regular sleep mask and simply add a sealant. Would this be safe to use against skin once it is dried? View answer

My really old house has a drafty basement crawl space with holes and spaces between the stones used for the wall, Seems like mice may have burrowed tunnels and the air is just pouring in. Can I use either safecoat or novalink to fill those holes and how permanent is it? Can the mice just push it back out again? View answer

We are preparing to seal our newly installed and sanded reclaimed oak floors and are looking for a product to fill the knots and nail holes in the wood. Would this product work as a filler for interior wood floors? We plan on sealing with Bioshield #8 or #9 depending on product compatibility. Is there a product that you recommend for filling holes in wood floors? Looking to stay as non-toxic and VOC free as we can. Thanks! View answer

Can this be used to seal a gap between a wall and cast iron baseboard radiator? Other radiators in my house have had this small gap caulked by the previous owner, but I don't know what was used. I have the Safecoat and Novalink caulk on hand and would like to use, but not sure how they hold up to heat. The radiators get up to about 110 -120 degrees. View answer
