Would the Safecoat caulking compound be safe for use around parrots?
AFM SafeCoat, Caulking Compound, 10-Ounce
Caulks, Sealants & Adhesives
Is the AFM Safecoat caulk compound safe for use around parrots? I will have the birds in a separate room with an air purifier, but I'm always worried about what to use around them.

AFM doesn't test their products on animals. Because it is non-toxic, safecoat caulking compound would be a safer option than conventional products. We would suggest taking a scrap piece of wood or aluminum foil and applying the caulk to it. Allow it to dry completely, then put it in your parrot's cage and watch their behavior. Our experience over the years has shown that our products are safe for most pets. However, this simple test should tell you whether this is acceptable or not to your specific pet.
