Caulks, Sealants & Adhesives Q&A
Activity timeframe
In the thumbnail description it says this is for exterior use, in the detailed description it says both interior and exterior, yet in the Q&A I see several responses saying it is only to be used indoors. Which is it ? I'm looking for an adhesive to reattach a wooden/laminate backsplash to a kitchen wall, but was hoping I might also be able to use it to reseat a loose brick on the front steps. Would that work ? Thanks !!! View answer

I am planning to use earth weave carpet and padding. Do you recommend AFM SafeCoat 3-in-1 adhesive for installation of that carpet? The installers we have spoken to use a more toxic adhesive that I'm not comfortable with. They said the alternative would be to use no adhesive but that it could result in bunching. I'm hopeful that this AFM SafeCoat would be a better alternative. Any advice you can provide is appreciated! View answer

I am planning to fill in a relatively deep and wide gap between a concrete porch and the front door of the house. (It is currently covered over with duct tape.) The DIY recommendation seems to be "backer rod plus caulk." The home owner asked me to use clear caulk, which is one reason I am looking at this product. Am I understanding the product restrictions correctly, that this will not adhere to backer rod (because it is a type of plastic?) Thank you. View answer

I'm looking for a non toxic sealant that can be used in my vegetable garden. I use clay pots for watering and I'm in need of a sealant to adhere to the clay pots. It must be good grade and non toxic. Is this safe to use in an organic garden? Will it leach chemicals into the water we use for good? View answer
