What paint would you recommend for painting stair treads that experience heavy wear and tear? Would a primer and sealer be needed as well? I have read that exterior paints for porches/ floors might offer the best durability, so was wondering if I should go with your exterior porch/ floor paint (which may be meant more for use with concrete, perhaps?). Thank you! View answer

After thoroughly cleaning old, musty kitchen cabinets in the condo I recently purchased, I'm planning to paint the inside of them with the Safecoat Zero VOC Paint. I want to finish it with a topcoat to make it more durable and seal out any remaining odor. Would the Safecoat Acrylacq or Hard Seal be appropriate for that? View answer

In our manufactured home we had to remove carpet due to pets. I then painted our stained subfloors. In painting our master & spare bedroom floors, I put primer down on both subfloors and ALSO painted walls, baseboards and floors. I have both rooms sealed off as best as I can because of strong smell. During/after painting, the smell got so bad, it gave me an instant headache (I wore a respirator for vapors, which made sickness even worse). Can I paint over these toxic VOC paints? It sounds like I can seal in the strong odors. I would like to order your paint swatches quickly so that I can decide on a color. Could you please let me know which color swatches can be used on floor paint? I am assuming the AFM Safecoat swatches/paint for floors. View answer

I installed new carpet two years ago, but I could not stand the new carpet smell. Like a fool, I looked up on the internet what would reduce the smell and found out about baking soda. I sprinkled baking soda on the carpet and let it sit for 24 hours. The smell is pretty much gone. But since then I have not been able to get rid of the baking soda in the carpet. It gives me a sore throat and nose bleeds because every time I vacuum the small baking soda particles go back into the air and dries it out. No matter how many times I vacuum or carpet clean I can't get all the baking soda out of the carpet. Will this product seal the the baking soda in the carpet, so there is not an issue with fine dust in the air anymore? View answer

Hello, I'm busy cleaning my attic from a mice infestation. I am scrubbing the sheetrock and studs with safe choice cleaner and thought it a good idea to use 'safe seal' as a final step to help rid any odors from mice urine. Would that product be appropriate or do you have another suggestion? thanks, karen View answer
