We have an office made of beautiful Alder wood. It has had a terrible odor since we purchased the home. We researched and were told it may have been that the wood was diseased as the home was built in 1992 and the wood was shipped. Could we seal the walls with this product to get rid of the odor? Thanks. View answer

Hello, I live in a high-rise condo and the HOA requires that the subfloor and flooring meet this class rating, does the waterproof cork flooring and subflooring meet this requirement? "The underlayment must achieve the floor assembly to yield a field "Impact Insulation Class" rating of at least fifty five (55) when tested according to the American Society of Testing Materials Designation E-1007-84 ("Field Measurement of Tapping Machine Impact Sound Transmission Through Floor-Ceiling Assemblies and Associated Support Structures'), and with classification to be in accordance to ASTM designation E-989-84 ("Determination of Impact Insulation Class")." Brochure shows wood look options in both HRT and SRT technologies. From the specs, looks like the wood look HRT floor has better impact sound reduction than the wood look SRT floor. Are any of the wood look options HRT? It looks like maybe the Highland Oak is HRT? We're particularly interested in the Field Oak. Do you know if that is HRT or SRT? Sound insulation is very important to us since we live in a condo. View answer

I am interested in the Amorim Wise wood-look flooring to install in a basement. I was curious how "waterproof" it truly is, would you happen to know? Is it "waterproof" like some laminates claim to be? Or legitimately waterproof like vinyl plank?Additionally, I was not able to find any guidance regarding installing it over a concrete subfloor. Is this acceptable? Does it require any call barrier beneath it in this case? Any underlayment? View answer
