I'm looking to use this to paint an intricate mailbox with multiple colors. In the interest of making it cost effective and to not be wasteful, is it possible to buy a gallon of the white non-tinted exterior paint and then just use a set of universal color tints to tint the ECOS paint myself? If so, is there a specific brand you'd recommend? Thanks. View answer

Hi!We are building a wooden bookshelf indoors and we need a product that gives some protection for the wood but it does not change the appearance of the wood. We would like to keep the untreated appearance of the wood (no yellowing, no shiny surface). Is it possible with this product? View answer

I'm interested in sealing OSB subfloor (prevent/arrest off gassing), but the tackiness of SafeSeal will potentially/likely make installation of the Pergo click-lock flooring difficult. I'm looking at HardSeal and Polyureseal BP as other options. Any recommendations here? View answer

I believe my slate tile in my bathroom had some type of sealer on it from the manufacturer. I do not know what kind. I want to add a further sealant to seal in whatever may have been used from the manufacturer, as well as to make my slate more water resistant. Would this be a good product for that? View answer

I would like to paint the concrete walls of my basement egresses white. They have some mildew I can't get off with the cleaners I have...what should I use as paint, and how should I prepare the walls? There is a bit of a plastic canopy over the egress, but not sealed. water and air gets in (I won't paint the floor of the egress). Thank you! View answer

I find the specs to not be fully informative. For example--is there Permethrin in this carpet? If so, is Permethrin really needed in a wool carpet? Is there additive/chemical in it for stain resistance? it's very hard to get a simple, full "inventory" of just what is in any carpet. View answer

Hello, I have one of these boards but recently found out the resin that was used is phenolic formaldehyde. Just the mention of anything formaldehyde gave me a scare so I searched the web for answers. The internet being like it is I found plenty of "organic mom" blogs saying the use of these boards is basically equivalent to poisoning your entire family. So I was very surprised to see you guys selling them. I am a customer of your paints and sealants and I trust you, so seeing this makes me feel better - but perhaps you can explain what makes these boards safe and nontoxic for food prep. I understand urea formaldehyde is the bad guy but why is the phenol variety ok? Is it possible it could leach into food during use? View answer
