I have a concrete basement floor that has recently been painted with No Nonsense trade floor paint (I'm in the UK) - specs say it's solvent based satin and comes with all sorts of warnings re. carcinogens etc. Is there anything I can use to seal the floor to prevent off-gassing? View answer

I'm trying to replace carpeted rooms with something more kid and pet friendly. A living room, bedrooms playroom, and an office. I like Marmoleum and my husband like bamboo. It appears that marmoleum can last 100 years and still look good, while bamboo reviews put it's lifespan at 20 years and don't say anything about it's recyclability. But from a DIY installation of click tiles, which of these two will hold up better to wear, nails, spills, scrapes, etc? The rest of the house is hardwood and I don't want to replace something that's not broken but I also don't want to cut more trees to make it all match. So these two types seem the most environmental. Would this be the best primer for a closet with particle board walls? The closet is in my one-year-old's room so I want to reduce formaldehyde exposure as much as possible. And then, what kind of paint would you recommend over it or would peel-and-stick wallpaper (the kind that isn't supposed to leave residue) work? View answer

How will this hold up at a lake house with a sandy beach and a bunch of little kids? We have been planning to rebuild and installing hardwood flooring but I feel the finish on the hardwoods won't hold up with the sand that gets tracked in. Will marmoleum will resist scratches better than hardwood flooring? View answer

Hi! Our roofer wants to seal a metal awning about one of our windows to the brick face on the front of our house because the seal is loose. Could this be used for that? I think it's the flashing that needs to be re-sealed? Is there something better to use for this purpose? Also they are sealing loose shingles on the roof as well and I need something to give them for that since I have MCS. Thank you! View answer

Hi, I've got two questions: 1. You mention this can be used with dimmers (Lutron LGCL-153CL 600W, Lutron MAW-600H-WH 600W, etc...). Do you sell the dimmers? 2. Does this come with everything, or do the LED lights come as separate bulbs? (and if so, do you sell replacement bulbs)? View answer

The installation instructions indicate the floor (concrete) needs to be tested for moisture using ASTM F2170 testing. What tool do you recommend using? For an installation of less than 900 sq. ft., is testing in 3 areas before installation, after installation and then subsequently sufficient to meet standards? View answer
