We recently had a live edge walnut table made for us and the builder finished it with Watco Danish Oil. We have three small children and don't feel the finish is hardy enough for us and we want something that is safe for our kids to eat off of and will be water repellant. There are a couple knots in the wood and small gaps in the board seams that need to be filled as well to prevent crumbs and liquid from entering - will I be able to use this product for this purpose as well or do you have another one you might recommend? Hello,I have treated a oak table with linseed oil + turpentine 50/50 % , and after 24 hours with linseed oil 100%. But that's absolutely not water resistant. May I now use the Bioshield Hard Oil #9 on this first treatment to get finally a much more (a good) water resistant treatment ? If not, what do you advice ? View answer

I just bought a piece of furniture that smells like it has recently been spray painted. I want to coat it with something good-safe so that it not only seals in the VOCs but also maintains durability as I plan to use it in my dining room. What product would you recommend for painted wood? View answer

I'd like to try a sample of BioShield wood counter finish. I have an old oak table with all the finish worn off. We wash it all the time and the kids play on it with their clay, etc. We would like to roll out pie crust on it, etc. And would like to wash it without the water soaking into the wood. Do you have a better recommendation? View answer

Best guess from multiple contractors is our front porch flooring is red cedar. It is not painted and is not sealed. I scrub it annually and would like to protect it. Also, it has a beautiful, deep, rich reddish color when wet. It would be nice to see that color when dry. I don't want to track the product into the house. What product would you recommend? I have some bare drywall that appears to be outgassing in a new bedroom. I'm chemically sensitive and would like to try your SafeCoat transitional primer to seal the drywall, then paint over with your Safecoat zero VOC flat. Would this work? I tried primecoat HPV before but didn't like the smell. View answer

Could the EarthWeave Enertia carpet padding be used for the floor of a sleeping loft (minimal foot traffic) without having any carpet over it? I was thinking of several layers of it to make a soft sleeping surface (with sheets over a portion of it). Would it shed too much or would the surface come apart? View answer

I discovered when I used Bon Ami (calcium carbonate) on my Marmoleum that I was able to get some long-standing stains off of the floor. I have faithfully used the Marmoleum cleaner and finish for the last five years, but I think I can restore some bad staining with Bon Ami. If I do that, and then apply finish after I'm done, will it hurt the floor? View answer

Looking at the PermaBond/DeckRevive combo to fix weathered front step and back porch (100+ year-old house). Paint on the wooden railings is flaking / deck boards are chipping heavily.1. The instructions say you mix both products with a gallon of paint. If I use both PermaBond & DeckRevive, do you mix PermaBond with paint, or just Deck Revive as that's the final coat?2. Can I use stain instead of a paint? I'll paint the railing white, but I'd rather stain/seal the floor boards.3. Will I need to use another sealer after these two are applied?4. Do you have a product that can repair rotten wood? I've used epoxies (toxic?) before. Instead of replacing the rotten wood, I wondered if there were small job alternatives (like railings/window sills) View answer

I have up carpet and have a concrete floor with a big crack running through it. I had a foundation guy check it, and he said foundation is okay but crack needs to be sealed with epoxy before covering with any type of flooring such as ceramic tile. I am extremely chemically sensitive. Do you have a product that might work for this? View answer
