Looking at the PermaBond/DeckRevive combo to fix weathered front step and back porch (100+ year-old house). Paint on the wooden railings is flaking / deck boards are chipping heavily.1. The instructions say you mix both products with a gallon of paint. If I use both PermaBond & DeckRevive, do you mix PermaBond with paint, or just Deck Revive as that's the final coat?2. Can I use stain instead of a paint? I'll paint the railing white, but I'd rather stain/seal the floor boards.3. Will I need to use another sealer after these two are applied?4. Do you have a product that can repair rotten wood? I've used epoxies (toxic?) before. Instead of replacing the rotten wood, I wondered if there were small job alternatives (like railings/window sills)

1. The Permabond is a primer that is required before use of the Deck Revive. You can mix a quart of any color of acrylic exterior paint with the Permabond primer if you wish, but it is not required. Always remove any paint that is flaking first, before application, either with power washing, sanding or stripping.2. You should only mix exterior acrylic or latex paint with the Deck Revive and never a stain.3. Once Deck Revive is applied, nothing needs to be added because it completely seals the surface. It should last a very long time, with no refinishing or sealing needed. Keep in mind that Deck Revive is an opaque, textured finish that completely hides the wood. It is a thick coating that creates a strong, slip-resistant surface. You won't see any of the old wood underneath.4. For rotting wood or deep cracks use PermaFill before using the PermaBond. (EDIT 10/14/2020) PermaFill is no longer made, Gulf Synthetics recommends use of Quikrete Quick Setting Filler as a replacement.
