Hi- I usually buy only non toxic furniture but recently bought a small table made of mdf and veneer. I do chemical sensitivities so I can't do off gassing. What product in specific can I use to seal in the voc's such as formaldehyde? One table I bought is white and the other is a mirrored glass table bottom (that probably has wood on the inside). I deal with chronic illness so the air quality is of utmost importance. Please let me know! View answer

Can this product be used to seal/protect ceramic painted tiles (Ex: acrylic paint pouring on tiles)? I am trying to find a product that is both waterproof and that can tolerate high heat - like that of hot coffee mugs. I love that this is a green product and would be excellent for someone like me that has chemical allergies!! View answer

I have a top of a drafting table I would like to protect and the normal sheets I can purchase are usually green or gray. I was wondering if I could glue this on top of the desk instead and just cut to size. The dimension of my desktop are 72' by 38'. Im considering the Forbo Marmoleum Striato - Sheet in compressed time. Could I order just what I needed? Since it is 79' wide just order a 40' cut? If so, what direction would the lines be running? I have brand new oak butcher block style countertops from IKEA. We wanted to keep them as natural as possible and so we put 3 layers of mineral oil, and a 2 layers of a mineral oil/beeswax finish. As soon as a moist dishtowel rested on the countertop, the grain swelled up and was rough. We need to put something else on that's more durable after all. Will this Naturals Oil Wax Finish be ok to apply on top of these other natural oils/wax? Sure seems like there's plenty more penetration capacity based on how NON-water resistant the counters seem to be still. Oh and our sink is set into the countertop (lots of potential water exposure) and cooking will take place on them, but no chopping directly on them. View answer

I purchased new furniture about six weeks ago. My roommate is reacting to it and we think it may be the undersides of the tables and chairs which are painted but feel rough to the touch. The tops of the tables and chairs seem fine. Would it work to use the Safecoat Hard Seal on the undersides over a layer of paint, or would the whole table need to be treated? Is there another product that would be more appropriate for this application? View answer

I'm looking for an alternative to clear acrylic sealer that comes in spray cans. I want a non-aerosol product to seal decoupage/mod podge fabric art projects. I use decoupage/glue sealer as a cover for fabric cards, etc. and then need to coat the finished product with a clear acrylic sealer to eliminate tackiness. Would Safecoat Acriglaze work? View answer

I have willow sculptures (wooden branches) which are used as space separator. And I have to work next to them all day. By the end of the day I feel like I was eating them ) So would this finish help to seal everything (smell) coming from the branches? I do not want any smell from the seal itself , It should be really eco and safe. So do you think this polish would work for me? View answer

I understand that orders over 185 sq feet ship free but I was considering doing one room (160 sq feet) in one color and a small room (50 square feet) in a different color. It would total over 200 sq ft, but I noticed the shipping was not free. Does it have to be all the same tile that equals 185 sq ft to be free shipping? View answer

I'm looking for a flooring for my basement. I have had dehumidifier leaks and a hot water heater massive leak across three rooms. I was ready to purchase Lakeshore XPC Luxury Vinyl Plano flooring by Viking Flooring in Northport color/style. It's 7" x 48" plank until I read more about pvc flooring. This does have an aluminum oxide wear layer on top. I always try to buy green products for our health, our inside air quality and the health of the planet, but with all my water issues in the basement, I have almost given up. What would happen to a wood floor if I had another standing water issue or just the humidity in a basement? And, I'm also looking to mimic this color/ look of the Northport.... Can you assist? Thank you! View answer
