20 years ago we used a " natural"oil wax (my memory thinks it was called OS wax) on the 6" maple plank floor that's in our kitchen and throughout the 1st floor. I remember a feature: supposedly you could just clean & lightly sand worn areas and reapply, and it would blend... Can I do this with Safe Coat, or do I have to sand the whole floor? The whole kitchen area is pretty worn down and grey, so I need to "refinish" that area and blend with the golden color of the floor that has been under rugs. View answer

I am planning on getting the click/floating strand bamboo flooring. Right now I have a cork tile floor in very bad condition, though still very flat and intact (I just removed carpet from it). Part of it is waxed. I noticed this cleaner says it is good on unwaxed cork. I assume that is because it may remove some wax or ruin the look of the cork flooring. I will be covering the cork, so I do not care what it looks like. Is there anything else I need to worry about? Also, can I use this cleaner on click/floating strand bamboo flooring? Hi there. The synthetic carpet in the house we recently purchased was apparently fitted in 2015. The info provided about AFM's Carpet Seal suggests that you might only need to use this is the carpet is under 4 years old. Is this true? And is this because carpet backing has typically stopped off gassing after 4 years? If I don't need to use the Carpet Seal, would you still recommend using AFM's Carpet Lock Out to prevent off gassing of the fibers? If so, does this product also need to be re-applied on a yearly basis and how long do the fibers typically continue to offgas? View answer
