Hello, we're looking to have our floors redone. Our contractor said they add an additive to the grout to seal it in one shot. I believe they use miracle sealant. I want something more eco-friendly. Is this considered an additive that they could add to the grout or do you carry something like that? View answer

What kind of adhesives would stick to this? I see that you can use thinset and tile over, but we are using a stone veneer product for our shower walls and need to glue it up. A two part epoxy adhesive is what is recommended by the manufacturer of the veneer. Would an epoxy based adhesive adhere to this product? View answer

I know you said this isn't for area rugs, but I have an area rug and it smells awful of chemicals. Would it really hurt to use this on that? And if these products are NOT designed for area rugs, the instructions regarding wrapping the rug in rags while drying makes no sense. I'm desperate and need the carpet sealed before 2/27/24.What can I do if not this? View answer

Hi there. The synthetic carpet in the house we recently purchased was apparently fitted in 2015. The info provided about AFM's Carpet Seal suggests that you might only need to use this is the carpet is under 4 years old. Is this true? And is this because carpet backing has typically stopped off gassing after 4 years? If I don't need to use the Carpet Seal, would you still recommend using AFM's Carpet Lock Out to prevent off gassing of the fibers? If so, does this product also need to be re-applied on a yearly basis and how long do the fibers typically continue to offgas? View answer

Hi, I have just moved into a rental property that has had new carpet and underlay installed about 2 weeks ago. I have MCS and don't think either carpet or underlay is low VOC. Can I treat just the carpet with this system or will I need to also treat the underlay? Ideally, I wouldn't have to remove the carpet and can fix the problem by sealing just the carpet itself. The exterior wall of our basement has been leaking for a few years when it rains. Black mold is appearing. This is not a dripping situation inside our basement but just a damp one. We spent a bundle last week on having our yard graded and it did nothing, sad to say. I'm looking to seal this wall very well (cinder block). Which product do you recommend? We want to go green. Thank you and thanks for creating these safer products. View answer

I have a wash and pack room on my small organic farm. The floor is concrete and needs to be sealed. It gets a lot of traffic daily and at least one day per week can have water on it for several hours while we wash vegetables (not underwater). The floor needs to not be slippery in any way. Is the Green Building Supply, Penetrating Concrete Sealer what I should use? I also have a walk in cooler with a concrete floor (insulated underneath). Can I also use this product with temperatures that remain between 37-43? Thanks! View answer

We have a tuck under cinder block/cement garage that is often moist due to seepage from the brick patio over the garage and water seepage into the underground walls. The walls have been painted, but are bubbling in places and in some places the paint is now gone and the block walls are crumbly. What is the best product to use inside the garage to seal out water, and prevent mold/mildew moisture. Is there a sealer that would help seal and prevent moisture from the brick patio from seeping into the garage? View answer
