1) I am wondering if this can be used over a bookshelf finished in a shiny "grey painted lacquer". (I am not sure if it is made out of oil-based polyurethane or an oil-based product and can't seem to figure it out.) I am chemically sensitive and am almost about to throw the shelf out, but it was expensive so I'm trying to give this a shot first. (For the record, this horrible shelf hasn't stopped off-gassing for over a year. I've had to keep it in our storage room because I can't stand the smell.) I've been applying Acrylacq to the interior of some wood drawers. On my last few, I applied one coat and then ran out of the Acrylacq product. Can I simply resume applying once I order a new supply, or do I need to do anything to re-prep (e.g., sanding, etc) in order to get started again?
