Hello, I am installing a click-lock engineered hardwood flooring on top of an existing wood floor. The manufacturer recommended underlayment is a 2-in-1 foam underlayment, max 1/8" thick. A vapor barrier is important here as the level directly below is the cellar (not heated) and there is no subfloor below the existing floor. Do you recommend MP Global, QuietWalk Plus for this situation? Thank you! View answer

Would this product work to block bass sound coming from below? My neighbor below plays music at all times, and regardless of years of complaints the sound never stops. I am adding 1/2" pressed felt floor pads and 3"inch floor rugs to all my rooms. Would adding this on top of wood floors, below the felt padding add additional sound absorption? I was considering this product or cork. Thanks! View answer

I have a home in Central OR (low relative humidity but cold winters) and want to install a floating click floor. What would be the best underlayment? This looks good, but so does Global MP quietwalk and also the other underlayment you offer with vapor barrier attached. How do I decide? View answer

On the sample for Moisture Block it says "It is recommended to also install a moisture resistant film over concrete or any substrate where moisture is a concern." So does that mean an additional plastic film along with the Moisture Block? Trying to understand what to do on a concrete basement floor under waterproof cork (interlock, no glue). View answer

Can this be used on top of a vehicles metal flooring? I am considering using it for underlayment/insulation for a van build out. My plan is to level the floor (which has embossed grooves in it currently ) with strips of cork directly on the metal then lay 2 sheets of 1/4" cork then lay the the finish flooring which will either be Marmoleum or waterproof cork boards. Does this application seem feasible? should I use anything between the metal and the first layer of cork strips? Is 3/4" - 1/2" of cork underlayment over metal a suitable subfloor to lay down a finish material? View answer

I am installing click loc Marmoleum flooring in a shed on slab construction. I have already installed 6 mil vapor barrier and an OSB subfloor to provide more cushion/insulation. I want an underlayment that doesn't have a vapor barrier that could trap any potential moisture between layers as the 6 mil is underneath. Is this the right product? View answer

I have three samples from you for a Marmoleum vanity I want to build. (2 ft by 5 ft).
What kind of glue do I need?
How big a sheet (two colors: Asian Tiger and Real) do I order?
Can I make the trim on the edge of the vanity out of the Marmoleum, or should I forget that idea? it's only going to be about 1/2 wide and I want rounded corners.
Is there a guide to use for us do-it-yourself-ers for how to make this bathroom vanity? Plan to install travertine flooring. Per industry recommendations, will use two layers of 3/4" subfloor (not glued together) to get a stiff floor section. However, we are concerned such a stiff floor will be 'hard' to walk on, day in, day out. Would cork add some 'give' back to this floor if applied on top of the two layers of 3/4 subflooring?
