I will soon be building a small barn that will house 8 chickens and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. We will put in a plywood floor (with some insulation beneath). On top of the plywood, I'll lay down horse mats and then the hay. My contractor has asked me to find a product to safely (for the animals) seal the plywood. Would one or your products work? We might also paint the plywood, although since it will be covered up, that doesn't make sense. View answer

What is the material used for the bottom of IKEA dresser drawers? It is almost paperlike with a very spongy porous bottom. Will this work for that? They lined the top with white liner. I put safeseal on the bottom sides and it absorbed it right up. Now it's a darker color. The dresser itself is pure pine so I didn't' think there would be smell. But there is a very sawdusty smell with the dresser in the room and it increases when opening the drawers so I suspect it is from the drawer bottoms. There is still smell. Will additional coats help? Or will it just ruin the papery material? View answer

our walls were painted with PPG paint and now I am getting a skin rash from the off gassing. saw that the can had a warning about this. a preservative called KAPHON is in it and through allergy testing I am allergic to this. Do you have a product that would seal this in and allow me to paint it with a similar color that's non-allergenic? it's not the odor that's the problem but this chemical that is being used wide spread as a preservative. I have new solid oak floors that have been sealed with AFM naturals oil wax finish. They are beautiful when looking straight down at them; however when looking lengthwise they look dry and show sanding variations. (We took this flooring from tree to floor after years of drying time and we sanded them instead of having a professional). Would the bioshield help even out the look? Also we live in a very sandy area and have pets. There will be a lot of traffic on these floors. Would I need to strip the bioshield and start over periodically or can I just continue to apply and buff? View answer

I removed the carpeting and drywall from one bedroom due to mold from a slow pipe burst. Now the mold is gone, the wall is repaired. I have a clean concrete slab floor. I have slightly painted the floor with a very watered down latex wall paint, just to see if it would adhere. I am looking at both your floor paint and the penetrating sealer. Is it too late to put the sealer on? Because I put the washed down paint on? I laid a towel down on one corner of the floor and it got musty. I think this is because moisture is slowly coming in the slab from outdoors. Would the penetrating sealer rectify this? Thank you for your help. View answer
