I was wondering how would this product react on brand new western cedar walls and ceiling? Would the product stop the wood from discoloration from aging? Cedar in particular changes color dramatically with time so I was wondering how would a white color monocoat finish look on cedar after a 1-5 years? View answer

I ordered samples of the Kahrs Avanti floor in three colors... Oak Lecco, Red Oak Nature, and Oak Pima. The Oak Pima and Red Oak Nature were both 7.88" wide, as written in the description. The width of the Oak Lecco sample is 1/2" smaller (not measuring 7.88" wide like the others). Why is this? Is this color a different width board than the others? View answer

I am installing click loc Marmoleum flooring in a shed on slab construction. I have already installed 6 mil vapor barrier and an OSB subfloor to provide more cushion/insulation. I want an underlayment that doesn't have a vapor barrier that could trap any potential moisture between layers as the 6 mil is underneath. Is this the right product? View answer

Can this be laid throughout a house with a combination of floating (bedrooms, living spaces, hallways) and glue down (bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room)? There is asbestos linoleum in bathrooms/kitchen and halfway down a dining/living space that we want to encapsulate. View answer

Hi! We have new drywall and are going to use the clay paint on the walls. The construction manager said we need to use a primer and sealer before painting. Since the clay paint is self priming, can they use this as the primer and sealer? If not what do you guys recommend that is breathable. The house was treated and gutted for mold and we want to make sure there is not condensation behind the walls from using a non-breathable paint or primer/sealer.We heard clay paint has natural anti-fungal properties. We finished the basement and have a commercial grade dehumidifier set to 50% humidity. Can we use this paint on the drywall on the basement as well? View answer

I'm considering the click floating floor for my main floor rambler. Does it require a layer of something prior to putting it down? I'm a little confused on this. Also, I'm seeing that appliances should not be put on top of this floor, rather flooring should be installed around (stove and fridge)??? View answer

I have a heated concrete floor and am currently undergoing a kitchen remodel. After the cabinets are in, I'd like to spruce up the floor with something that will make the floor look great (it's been 12 years since anyone has done anything to it) but that is eco friendly. Is this the product for me? View answer

I just moved into a home that has been painted. I don't know what kind of paint they used but the trim paint is still slightly tacky. I want to paint over everything with this transitional primer. Can I paint over this slightly tacky trim paint with this primer? View answer

I have been searching everywhere and I cannot find a solution to how to remove polywhey. I understand that it is a good product but I do not like the look of it on my indoor trim at all. I cannot find product lists, and when I called the company all they would tell me is that it contains whey and that I should sand it off. Given that this is an indoor application, that just isn't feasible. Everything has a solvent but I just can't figure out (short of using a horrible paint stripper) how to remove it without sanding?
