My husband and I recently nailed a grid of wood two-by-fours on our bedroom wall (pine, unfinished, plenty of knotholes). I was going to paint the wall with the grids of wood nailed to it a dark color, however a professional painter told me I need to prime the boards with an oil based primer so that the knotholes don't keep bleeding through.Do you have a Safecoat that the painters can use over the white oil-based primer that can later be painted with latex paint? I want to seal in some of the oil primer's VOCs because I am six months pregnant. Then, I wanted to paint the wall a color of my choice. What would you recommend?
