I (apparently) overapplied this product to a sandstone floor and it left a white hazy residue, with opaque white in the crevices of the stone. How do I remove this residue? Also, if I want a more satin finish, can Safecoat Mexeseal be applied over Safecoat Penetrating Waterstop, or does the latter need to be completely removed, and if so, how? View answer

I was wondering what would be the best cleaner for the floor after it's been sealed? I used this product on my entire house (have etched concrete floors that are just the slab foundation) and I am hesitant to use anything other than hot water on the floor. Is there anything you can recommend that wouldn't break down the sealer? View answer

Hi! We have new drywall and are going to use the clay paint on the walls. The construction manager said we need to use a primer and sealer before painting. Since the clay paint is self priming, can they use this as the primer and sealer? If not what do you guys recommend that is breathable. The house was treated and gutted for mold and we want to make sure there is not condensation behind the walls from using a non-breathable paint or primer/sealer.We heard clay paint has natural anti-fungal properties. We finished the basement and have a commercial grade dehumidifier set to 50% humidity. Can we use this paint on the drywall on the basement as well? View answer

I removed the carpeting and drywall from one bedroom due to mold from a slow pipe burst. Now the mold is gone, the wall is repaired. I have a clean concrete slab floor. I have slightly painted the floor with a very watered down latex wall paint, just to see if it would adhere. I am looking at both your floor paint and the penetrating sealer. Is it too late to put the sealer on? Because I put the washed down paint on? I laid a towel down on one corner of the floor and it got musty. I think this is because moisture is slowly coming in the slab from outdoors. Would the penetrating sealer rectify this? Thank you for your help. View answer

We have a brick garage wall, the INSIDE is clay tile from the 1920's . The INSIDE is showing significant efflorescence and some spalling. Question 1: Should we apply GBS Penetrating Sealer to just one or BOTH (exterior brick , interior clay tile) sides of the wall? Question 2: Your instructions refer to the need to pressure wash surface prior to spraying. Is this necessary for a brick wall? Can we just brush it clean and apply the product? Thank you View answer

Do you sell this in a smaller size? I am looking at sealers for my concrete 14 square foot shower floor. Your product sounds perfect for me except the cost per ounce options. Either I but a gallon at $.45/oz or a few of your samples at $.9/oz which (obviously) is double the cost. If I go with the lower cost per ounce option, I will have 119 oz left over. It seems if your product is to be used as advertised on "All Rooms, Basements, Bathrooms"...etc. I can't be the only homeowner with a small project wanting a smaller size than a gallon while also wanting the lesser $/oz cost. I have a some questions concerning your GBS Penetrating concrete sealer. I want to use it on a basement floor that has some areas that were ground down to make it level. It also has some areas the were patched with a concrete patch. Do I need to etch the concrete where it was ground and patched? Also how long can it be stored? I want to order it now when it will not get cold during shipping, but I plan to apply it on my basement floor later this winter. I can store it so it will not get cold and the basement room will be heated as well. Thanks , Julie View answer

I have up carpet and have a concrete floor with a big crack running through it. I had a foundation guy check it, and he said foundation is okay but crack needs to be sealed with epoxy before covering with any type of flooring such as ceramic tile. I am extremely chemically sensitive. Do you have a product that might work for this? View answer

we live in a new building (6 years old) with slab floor that was not originally planned as living space without a moisture barrier under slab. Can we use this to seal the slab to put wool carpet on slab, or do you recommend another product? We used 6 mil plastic and some of our rooms have musty odor and after pulling 90 dollar a yard wool carpeting up we noticed a white residue under plastic and super strong musty odor. we read that mildew can form between concrete slab and plastic underlayment.
