We like how our exterior door looks with a simple coat of linseed oil but want to protect it further. Can a clear Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Exterior Wood Protector be applied on top of wood previously treated with linseed oil? Is there a time period to wait since the linseed oil was first applied or would this product not be compatible with linseed oil? Thanks in advance! View answer

I'm looking for a flooring solution for my short term rental (Airbnb) in Wyoming. This is my first winter in the house, and the humidity is constantly reading 24-26%. Although I'd love to offer the luxury of a hardwood floor, a floating Marmoleum floor seems to make the most sense for the dry air, traffic, cleaning, etc. Any experience with Marmoleum in the dry northern Rocky Mountain region? I'm also considering Kahrs engineered, but wood seems very risky. View answer

I live in a rental and want to instal this over the current kitchen tile. The apartment is an open concept layout so basically I would be putting this over just part of a room. Is there a way to deal with edges that are open to the room (not a wall)? Or if I just left them, would the tiles/planks come apart? View answer

We have a pier and beam older house that we want to replace the kitchen floor with Marmoleum Click Cinch Loc floor. As will all older homes with pier and beam construction the ground shifts. There is an intact wooden subfloor with leveling compound from a previous ceramic tile floor. Is it better to install the squares or planks on this subfloor? View answer

I own a coin laundry with terrazzo floors. There's a small seating area where I'm looking for a product to create a 5'x8' water & slip resistant "area rug." Would Marmoleum Click work? It can't be a tripping hazard and I'm concerned about the edges if the Marmoleum is only used in a small area. View answer

I'm interested in this product but curious if you can install over existing sheet vinyl. We have original sheet vinyl over 3/4 inch plywood subfloor which has some deflection. Is it advisable to put down a thicker underlayment on top first? We actually had LVT installed over the sheet vinyl with grout but the grout started to crumble immediately. So we have to start over. I'd prefer this product since it's also non toxic. But want to make sure it'll hold up on our existing floors. Thank you! View answer

To what extent do the colors change with exposure to light - and are the samples in the sample kit "mature" in this regard? I'm looking at a photo on this website of a checkerboard kitchen floor made from Caribbean and Barbados and I want exactly that look - but unlike that photo, the 1-1/2 inch samples in Forbo's sample books show these as almost identical tones. I am interested in the Marmoleum planks. I will be installing it over a wood subfloor. My question concerns the density of the planks. In the room will be two steel production tables on casters that weigh about 500 lbs each. Do I need to be concerned about these planks dimpling under the weight of these tables? Also, will the planks stay flat and in place after repeated moving of the tables over time? View answer

Hi! I was wanting a checkered floor like you see often in older linoleum kitchen floors. My hope was to do a dark blue or navy tile alternated with a white or very light cream tile. I do not see any choice for white. Does this Marmoleum come in white? What is another option you think would be a great choice for the checkers?? Blue is my favorite color!! View answer
