Hello, I am looking for a product to waterproof a birch 1 3/4" thick butcher block countertop in our bathroom, what would you recommend? Since the countertop is for a vanity, it will see plenty of water and I would like a non-toxic finish that can resist water. The countertop will not be stained or sealed unless that is recommended. We have an infant on the way and want to use a non-toxic product but don't necessarily need it to be food safe. Thank you for your help! View answer

What would be the best product to seal the brick wall in my kitchen? My kitchen was just remodeled and the interior wall in the kitchen is now all brick with a dark grey mortar, and I am constantly wiping off the counters along with brick dust. I am not sure if it matters but it is thin brick 5/8" thick. View answer

The exterior wall of our basement has been leaking for a few years when it rains. Black mold is appearing. This is not a dripping situation inside our basement but just a damp one. We spent a bundle last week on having our yard graded and it did nothing, sad to say. I'm looking to seal this wall very well (cinder block). Which product do you recommend? We want to go green. Thank you and thanks for creating these safer products. View answer

I used Safecoat oil wax finish on my raw knotty alder doors that turned out beautiful but darker than expected. I want to oil additional raw ponderosa pine but the oil doesn't turn out dark enough. Is there any way to add some color to the oil to try to match the pine? I have tried samples of your other stains on the wood to try to match the doors, but nothing is the right color. Any ideas? The pine is really light color. View answer

We are planning on putting this over porcelain tile. We are in Arizona where the climate is really dry. Do we need to use a moisture barrier or can we go straight on the tile? We are worried about something spilling on the floors and the barrier having an opposite effect and causing mold because there is no way for it to breathe. View answer

We are planning on putting this in a bathroom as well. On their install-info on the website, it states " However, in order to prevent the water to penetrate under the installed floor (which can create conditions for growing of fungus, mold or smell), a polyurethane sealant must be applied on expansion joints. Do you have anything for that? Also, when they joints I assume it means where the boards connect to each other? I am sure normal caulking around the tub etc is standard. View answer
