1) Sanding will not bring back the color and is not recommended. Re--coating can be done, however with our AFM Polyureseal BP after a light sanding of the surface but the color will be as it is.2) The Amorim waterproof cork flooring is pre-finished and can be recoated after years of wear in high traffic areas, but is not needed initially. The waterproofing is throughout the entire product, nothing need be added.3) There is not such thing as maintenance free. You still need to sweep and damp mop your floor regularly to keep it looking and performing well.4) The finish on the cork look has an HRT high resistance technology that uses a highly elastic resin resulting in a natural and flexible surface with superior wear resistance. Produced from sustainable materials, it is micro-scratch resistant, prevents color shading and is warm and pleasant to the touch. It is also recoatable. The wood look uses a PET finish which is very durable but not recoatable.5) We have tested (Osmo Polyx-Oil) but it is not recommended for either of these cork products. It emits a very strong odor that most of our customers would not want to experience.
