I have oak that was previously treated( unsure with what it was treated with but it does seem like polyurethane) what is best course of action for refinishing oak? This project is in the bathroom in a high moisture area. Thank you

Without knowing if it's water based or oil base currently, you'll need to sand it down totally to the raw wood and reapply new finish. The Polyureseal BP is indeed for that. Order small samples online first to test.
