I am doing a down to the studs remodel of a frame house in a humid environment, and plan to paint the entire frame structure with CIM&MI. Given the highly alkaline finished PH, what is the long term effect on all the fasteners it comes in contact with, such as nails. Also, what are the risks to tradesmen working on the structure after that, drilling holes, sawing, installing new framing, etc?

According to the manufacturer, there are no negative effects to non-wood products or substrates over extended periods of time, i.e. decades. Also, over the past 20 years the manufacturer has not received any complaints caused by high alkalinity in Caliwel. Drilling, sawing or installing products with Caliwel will not create any harmful airborne pollutants either.
