We are not sure if the previous floor finish on our hardwood floors was oil-based. If the floor is sanded first can we then use AFM SafeCoat, Acrylacq Item #1035 ?

Once you sand your hardwood floor down to bare wood, apply three coats of AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP which is a non-toxic, water-based polyurethane. You may order small samples online first to test.Acrylacq is made for furniture and does not have the same moisture or abrasion resistance of Polyureseal BP.
