I purchased a wood mud kitchen online for my son to play with outside. The wood is unfinished. I am looking for a child safe water/mold/mildew proof sealant to coat it with prior to putting it together. Is the herbal oil the best option for this?

Probably not ideal. A better product would be our Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey Exterior Stain which comes in colors or VNC Juniper Waterproofer which is clear. The pigments in the Polywhey will prevent UV degradation much better than a clear product which has not much UV protection. Both are child safe and non-toxic.
