Can I use the Home and Office Caliwel on metal in my basement, also? Like the outside of the HVAC and pipes? Or is it corrosive?

Yes, Caliwel is made for basements and crawl spaces and anywhere mold likes to grow. It's a zero VOC paint and will bond to most wood or metal, however, it must be clean, dry and free of oil, wax, dirt or in the case of metal, rust free. Otherwise it simply won't bond well. On those tough surfaces, you should prime first and then add the Caliwel.
