I have already selected and purchased paint for some MDF panelling, which is off gassing. Can I use Transitional primer to seal from off gassing and use normal water based paint for a topcoat?

We recommend one coat of AFM Transitional Primer and two coats of AFM Zero VOC paint to get the job done. If you do not want to use their topcoat, then you will need to apply two to three coats of their primers first with 24 hours in between coats.
