I am a single pregnant mom and trying to be careful with paint and primers. What do you recommend I use to prime the shelving unit and then which paint to purchase? I have a wood shelf unit in our entryway (place for boots, umbrellas, etc.) that I want to paint. Does a specific paint go w/ a specific primer? Do I need to "seal" anything with a different product before I paint? Or after I paint? (Sorry for all the questions, love your store!)

For wood surfaces, we recommend one coat of ECOS Wood Primer followed by two coats of ECOS Interior Wall and Ceiling Paint in the Semi-Gloss finish. This should be adequate for most shelving purposes. However, if at a later date you want to add more abrasion and moisture resistance we recommend two coats of our AFM Polyureseal BP. When using this on top of paint, you'll need to lightly sand the surface to provide some tooth for the Poly to grab.
