I was wondering if you could ask AFM about whether Safeseal on plywood sheathing would stop water vapor from being able to pass from the inside of the house to the outside. I'm wondering if I am going to cause walls not to be able to dry to the outside because of this product. In a nutshell, does Safeseal affect the permeability of the plywood to allow water vapor to pass through? <BR>I'm reasoning if it stops off gassing of formaldehyde (gas) that it will also stop water vapor (gas) also. Is my reasoning faulty?

No problem using SafeSeal on exterior sheathing as it will breathe and allow water vapor to pass through. It will stop formaldehyde but not water vapor. It must have something to do with the shape or structure of the molecule. Anyway, we have never had any mold issues as a result of using our sealers.
