AFM Safecoat Hard Seal is made for furniture and cabinetry, and leaves a hard, clear finish. AFM Safe Seal, on the other hand, is made for porous wood surfaces like plywood, OSB sheathing and studs. Please note: On pressure-treated wood, the chemicals need to dry out and that can take 6 months or longer. It may not perform as intended if the substrate has not fully cured.If there are potential moisture and mold issues, our best protector of mold is our Caliwel Industrial product which makes it impossible for mold to grow, as the pH is 12.4 and mold will not grow on any surface that is that alkaline. This would be great for any behind-the-scenes application (studs and framework).
