Is safe coat oil wax compatible with using safe coat durostain? We have pine planks we are having sanded professionally.

No. Sorry, Durostain is no longer available. It was replaced by Durotone. Unfortunately, oils don't mix with water and therefore, the Naturals Oil Wax can not be applied over the Durotone. The best water-based sealer to go over DuroTone is the AFM SafeCoat Polyureseal BP for flooring or AFM Acrylacq for other millwork.
