I have wood steps that were sanded and because I have had to fill in some holes, they need to be stained a bit before I put a sealer on them. The AFM SafeCoat, Naturals Oil Wax Finish, will slightly honey the wood which is simply from the natural colors of the plant oils themselves. Another option is our Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C which is a stain and sealer combo product that will provide both color and protection. Use our Rubio Monocoat Wood Filler Putty before staining. The Rubio Wood Filler comes in a light, medium and dark option so it can be matched to the type of wood that your using.
