First of all, these are only formulated to stick to most water based products and not oil based. That being said, HardSeal is glossy, so you would not be able to paint over that without doing a mild sanding. Acrylacq in satin or matte would be easier to paint over in the future. We always suggest you try a small sample on a portion before assuming something new will stick to it because products do vary. However, it's always best to prime first when going over another coating (in this case, over Acrylacq) in the future and then paint over that.
