Two coats of our AFM RoofGuard can be used to seal the surface of the tile. This is an elastomeric paint that is very low odor and designed to prevent moisture, mildew and harsh weather. It can be used to encapsulate asbestos tile.It's unlikely that a sewing machine would vibrate so much that it would break up the tiles underneath it, especially if it was sealed. You could also apply one of our floating floors such as cork or Marmoleum Cinch Loc on top that would be more aesthetically pleasing and nicer to walk on.
