The AFM SafeCoat HardSeal is not made to have the durability that flooring/stairways need. Instead of the HardSeal, use the AFM SafeCoat Polyureseal BP, Item #1036, as it is specifically made for flooring, has more abrasion resistance and will hold up much better than the HardSeal. To make sure that the Poly BP will bond to the type of paint that you used, it is best to perform an application test of the Poly on the painted surface. We sell sample sizes of 3-4oz of the Poly BP for $9.95 so that you can make sure it will bond, before diving into purchasing full size items for your project.
