I own Colorado's first certified Built Green home, so you can imagine how hard I tried to get the painters I hired to use zero VOC paint. Despite my best efforts, a new employee of the company inexplicably used EXTERIOR paint on the INTERIOR of my home. !!!!! I am VERY concerned and distressed. 1) Will 2 coats of SafeSeal over the Sherwin (exterior) Superpaint help stop the off gassing of dangerous chemicals/VOCs? 2) Can I use zero VOC Sherwin Williams Promar 200 over the SafeSeal and exterior paint? I need to use that because it matches the rest of my home.

AFM Safecoat Safe Seal should never be used over paint. Instead, use AFM Safecoat Acrylacq. This will encapsulate the VOCs beneath it and will provide a clear topical seal over the paint. Acrylacq comes in a matte or gloss sheen. While we have other sealers, this is the best choice for this purpose.
