Hello, Thank You for your question. You could in theory do this however AFM SafeCoat Hard Seal is not designed to be scratch resistant for use on the floor. A much better and more durable choice would be our AFM SafeCoat Polyureseal BP over your water based poly. It will need to be slightly sanded or roughed up i.e. degassed, before application to give the new finish some tooth. Our handheld applicator and lightweight floor applicator makes this much easier to apply and produces a perfect finish every time.
