I'm looking for a good sealant for a natural wood backsplash. it's like a barn wood rough texture and I'm thinking something to paint on, in a clear matte finish?

AFM Safecoat HardSeal is a good choice for a clear wood sealer, unfortunately, this only comes in a gloss sheen. If you are looking for just the matte clear finish sealer we would recommend AFM SafeCoat Acrylacq instead, which comes in a matte, satin, and gloss sheen.
